About Gloria
Music and dance have been Gloria Rand’s passions since childhood, but business has always been in the background – whether selling Girl Scout cookies or shampoo (for a high school fundraiser), or Tupperware as an adult. She even started out as a business administration major in college.Gloria’s love of writing led her to switch majors – and after earning a BA in mass communications from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, she traded Michigan’s cold, snowy winters for the sunnier, warmer climate of South Florida, and a job at public television’s “Nightly Business Report.”
NBR afforded Gloria an opportunity to learn the ins and outs of TV news production. And over the next ten years, she advanced from character generator operator, to associate producer/writer, and finally, to producer.
She carried that experience with her when she helped launch and produce a Florida-based business news program that aired twice daily on a state-wide cable TV network.Gloria believes in giving back to her community by volunteering her time and talent: writing newsletters and press releases for her children’s schools and leading her daughter’s Girl Scout troop. She’s also run full and half marathons to raise money for the American Heart Association and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Now that her children are teenagers, Gloria has decided to go into business for herself - applying the knowledge she gained by taking courses in direct mail copywriting, search engine optimization and online copywriting from American Writers & Artists Inc. (AWAI).
Gloria’s mission:
“I believe in going the extra mile for my clients – making sure they know how to use the latest SEO, social media & marketing trends for the biggest impact on their bottom line. Delivering great copy with savvy marketing makes for profitable businesses and happy clients --the only kind I like to have.”
