About Gloria

Music and dance have been Gloria's passions since childhood, but business has always been in the background - whether selling Girl Scout cookies or shampoo (for a high school fundraiser), or Tupperware as an adult.

Switching majors from business to mass communications, Gloria earned her bachelor's degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and promptly left the cold, snowy winters of Michigan for the warmer climate of South Florida, and a job at public TV's "Nightly Business Report."

Gloria learned the ins and outs of TV news production, from design to editorial content, eventually becoming writer/producer for NBR. She used that experience to help launch and produce a Florida-based cable business news program, before starting her own SEO Copywriting business in 2009.

Active in her community, Gloria has volunteered her time and talent writing newsletters and press releases for her children’s schools and leading her daughter’s Girl Scout troop. She has run full and half marathons to raise money for the American Heart Association and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. As a board member of Oviedo-Winter Springs Women, a non-profit group dedicated to the empowerment of women, Gloria handled social media marketing for the 4th annual Recessionista Women's Symposium in 2010.

Gloria Rand's Blog was honored as one of the top 11 SEO Copywriting blogs in 2010, by search engine marketing firm, Wordstream.
